HorsePlay Productions Healing Center (HPPHC) is a state accredited community based mental health and substance abuse treatment center that focuses on the family. Programs center around experiential therapy that includes equine assisted learning and dialectical techniques. Our goal is to help others increase communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution. Certified classes for community involvement include: Moral Reconation Therapy, MRT - Domestic Violence, outpatient services for alcohol and drug abuse, anger management, corrective thinking, Native American Talking Circle, and many others. Office hours are 8:00 - 5:00 PM Monday through Friday with walk-in services available daily. Counseling sessions include: individual, group, family, adolescent and child, veterans services, and people who are or have been incarcerated.

How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
HPPHC specializes in evidence based programming that incorporates equine assisted learning/psychotherapy modalities to enhance the counseling experience either in group or individual sessions. Shari L. Bradstream MS, CCDCIII has been working in the Human Services field for over 25 years, been licensed as a Certified Chemical Dependency Level III for over 7 years, obtained a Masters Degree in Counseling from SDSU in 2007, and under direct supervision for mental health licensure for the last 3 years. Shari will be obtaining her licensure for her mental health in the Spring of 2013.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Our specialities in the areas of family and couples counseling, domestic violence/parenting classes, corrective thinking/thinking for your change programs, and culturally diverse recovery-support programs, e.g., Native American Talking Circle.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
One location and no expansion expected at the present time.
